Do I keep what I've earned?
Yes:
You retain 100% of what you've earned on the platform minus applicable taxes and payment processing fees. You set a one-time price structure for each of your courses and experiences.
The catch:
Community members pay a $5 monthly membership fee, with a 30-day grace period to explore your community before their first payment is due. All membership fees are retained by altBeing to support the continued growth, development, and operations of the ecosystem.
Why a $5/month membership fee?
We believe that even a small financial investment can foster a greater sense of commitment and encourage meaningful engagement. Our goal isn’t simply to accumulate members who sign up and disappear; it’s to cultivate a thriving, connected community where people actively participate, build relationships, and grow together. We would much rather have 1,000 engaged members who find real value in the community than 10,000 members who rarely participate.
For us, meaningful engagement will always matter more than membership numbers.

First Fridays is a monthly advertising auction held on the first Friday of each month, giving healers and vendors an opportunity to bid on promotional ad placements across the altBeing ecosystem, including - the altBeing community hub, quarterly magazine, eMarketplace and social media. Bids start as low as $1 per day, with winning placements scheduled for the month following the next First Fridays auction cycle.
Automated Advertising Campaigns offer healers and vendors cost-effective, automated email and marketing sequences (drip campaigns) that reach targeted audiences across the altBeing ecosystem at rates below standard industry pricing.
How do altBeing's fees compare to other comparable platforms?
altBeing's Premium Membership is billed annually at $240 per year. It's users pay a $5 per month membership fee to participate in each community.

altBeing's platform is algorithm free. For most platforms, algorithms are unpredictable and can change at any time, reducing visibility and forcing businesses to adapt their strategy for business promotion. Rather, we offer reduced rates on a variety of marketing supports such as-- featured marketplace banners, altBeing magazine features, SEO tips and services, SMS and email automations, branding and more. Most advertising offerings are auctioned, closing on the "First Friday" of each month. Additionally, altBeing practitioners are welcome to join altAcademy for courses on topics such as SEO design, Go High Level Funnels and Automations, Strategic Branding and more.

Setting up your practice’s storefront is an opportunity to invest a little sweat equity into your business. If you’re comfortable doing it yourself, there’s no cost. We believe in empowering you to build and manage your own space on AltBeing.
Transaction Fees
As an independent storefront within altBeing’s marketplace, you’ll pay a 15% transaction fee if you sell services and 6.7% for products (no listing fees), plus applicable taxes and payment processing fees. altBeing’s portion of the transaction fees goes directly toward supporting platform operations, business development, and marketing initiatives that help grow the marketplace and increase visibility for our community.

How can altBeing support with store setup?
Learning a new system and setting up your store can feel overwhelming at first. But once everything is in place, managing your storefront becomes much easier! We know that getting started is often the most challenging part, and that’s exactly where we can help.
Here’s how our team can make getting your store up and running simple and stress-free:
Basic information
We gather basic information from you - business details, bio, store description, service descriptions, service availability hours, prefered conferencing platform and series of images (for store and for each service)*. We then input information into the correct fields.
Policies
We input required policy and tax information to ensure you are operating legally. If you have policies that are pre-made, we input them into the required fields.
Financial information
We’ll provide you access to your storefront so you can securely enter your financial information and complete your Stripe Connect integration. Your financial information remains private—AltBeing does not have access to your banking or financial details.
Visual branding
This part of the process can be the most cumbersome and stressful. If you have this covered, great! We just ask you to resize the images to fit mobile, tablet and desktop dimensions.
Need help bringing your brand to life visually?
Our team can create a cohesive look for your storefront and product images for an additional $25 per image series. Once created, you own the branding and images and are free to use them as you see fit.
Can I sell services and products?
Absolutely!
You can get started by visiting the “Guide to Sell Products” link in the footer of alt-being.com. For services, navigate to "Sellers Manual" to begin.
Beginning in 2027, we plan to provide additional resources to help you efficiently upload large product inventories without the hassle of adding each product individually. We’ll also offer guidance on integrating your Shopify inventory with the AltBeing marketplace, making it easier to manage and grow your product offerings.
Does altBeing offer an Affiliate Program?
Starting mid-year 2027, altBeing will offer an affiliate program. A "Become an Affiliate" link is located in the footer of alt-being.com for insight into out program.
The affiliate program is designed to expand the marketplace by attracting new buyers and sellers, creating a more diverse selection of well-being services, products, and opportunities while increasing marketplace traffic and sales potential for vendors.
As an incentive, beyond compensation, affiliates who rank in the top 10% of monthly performers receive a waiver of their sales transaction fees for an extended period of time, along with complimentary advertising space in altBeing's quarterly magazine to help promote their business and offerings.

Does it cost to promote in altBeing's digital magazine?
altBeing offers several opportunities for practices and businesses to promote their work through our First Friday Auction. The promotional options available to you depend on your winning bid, with opening bids based on the type of advertising space and the complexity of the promotional opportunity. All bids are on-going throughout the month and are counted and announced on the "First Friday" of the month. Opening bids start as low as $10 per month and as high as $100 per month. Specific to the magazine: bids cover the following:
1. By space occupied in the magazine: 1/4, 1/2 and full page ads
2. Location in the magazine: front, middle, back
3. Visual Ad branding: logo, image
What is the process for contributing an article?
To contribute an article, you’ll first complete an application form outlining key details, including the article type, the modality or category it aligns with, and a brief summary of its content. If your submission is approved, we’ll provide guidelines specifying the character limit and required keywords to incorporate into your article.
How is the digital magazine distributed?
altBeing’s magazine reaches readers through a diverse network of distribution channels, including organizational partners, spiritual and wellness influencers, Facebook and LinkedIn groups, blog content, and automated email campaigns. Additionally, altBeing has begun its SEO work in late 2026 to share its ecosystem, and magazine, across the U.S. and beyond.
How many readers did Volume 2 reach?
With minimal marketing and SEO efforts, AltBeing’s Volume 2 magazine reached more than 10,000 readers, generating nearly 1.5× impressions and an average viewing time of over four minutes. Its reach extended across more than 10 U.S. states and internationally to Ontario, Italy, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Indonesia—demonstrating the magazine’s growing reach and global audience.
When is each digital magazine distributed?
Each magazine edition is released at the beginning of each quarter, with article submissions accepted during the second and third months of the preceding quarter.

What will we be doing?
Building the altBeing ecosystem through applied learning
Cohort participants will have the opportunity to build their own communities and ecosystems within altBeing while applying the skills, strategies, and insights they gain through their cohort experience. This creates a practical learning environment where practitioners can grow their craft, strengthen their businesses, and cultivate meaningful connections—all while contributing to a more connected alternative well-being community—preferably ours!
Free by application?
It depends.
Applicants must have an established business with demonstrated success and traction, or a strong foundation and clear potential for future growth. This opportunity is selective and available by application and interview only.
Cohort experts are interviewed prior to the end of 2026 to open their own communities. On approval, altBeing will offer cohort communities (no more than three per domain) complimentary access to conduct business on the platform. Cohort owners have the freedom to establish their own pricing models, program fees, and structures.
The purpose of these learning cohorts is to empower practitioners to strengthen their craft, develop their skills, and learn practical strategies for growing and sustaining their businesses under the tutelage of experts in their field.
If not free, then what?
All AltBeing cohorts share one mission: to help practitioners refine their craft, develop their skills, and learn practical strategies for building sustainable businesses under the guidance of experienced leaders in their field.
While complimentary cohort opportunities are selective, not being accepted into the free program does not prevent you from leading a cohort on AltBeing. All cohort leaders receive the same platform opportunity to build, grow, and support their communities.
The difference is pricing: altBeing charges cohort participants a $25 monthly platform fee. Cohort leaders set their own one-time program fees, aside from altBeing's charge, with members having the option to split costs into installments through Klarna, subject to eligibility and approval.

Our foremost mission is to elevate and share best practices throughout the alternative well-being space. We founded AltBeing to address the fragmentation of communities and create a trusted haven where people can discover quality healing services, meaningful connections, and aligned practitioners. AltBeing will establish a foundational framework for best practices, shaped collaboratively through the insights, experiences, and real-world application of cohort leaders.
